National Farmers Appreciation Day

When we lived in Oxnard, CA we were aware that the state was suffering drought. Yet, Oxnard agriculture continued full tilt all year long. About every six weeks the fields were cleared of the debris of the recent harvest and planting started all over again.

Driving the length of CA is like driving the breadth of Texas, you think you’ll never get out of the state. So it seems like forever until we get to OR. Beautiful forests, thousands of old growth trees as far as the eye can see.
